About Merge 2048
Merge 2048 is a free number puzzle that runs in your browser on phone and desktop, with no download and no sign-up. Every swipe slides all the tiles at once, and two matching numbers merge into one worth double. A new tile drops in after each move, so the board fills fast if you play loose. Reach 2048 to win, then keep going for a bigger score. Simple rules, real planning, and every run counts on the leaderboard.
- Controls
- Arrow keys or WASD, swipe on touch
- Length
- 10 min per round
Tips
- Pick one corner for your biggest tile and keep it there. Build the rest of the row behind it in falling order.
- Avoid the direction that pulls your big tile out of its corner. Use the other three moves for most of the game.
- Merge small tiles early. A board full of scattered 2s and 4s is how most runs end.
