About Lock Dial

Lock Dial is a free arcade game you play in your browser on phone or desktop, with no download. A pointer sweeps around a padlock dial and a gold mark sits somewhere on the ring. Tap the moment the pointer is on the mark: each hit scores one, flips the direction of the sweep and moves the mark to a new place, and every five hits the pointer gets a little faster while the mark gets a little narrower. Tap early, tap late or let the pointer pass the mark and the run is over, with the exact miss shown in degrees. Reach 100 hits and the lock springs open while the count keeps going. Your best stays in this browser. Made for Arena13.

Controls
Touch: tap anywhere when the pointer is on the mark. Keyboard: Space, Enter or the arrow keys.
Length
1 min per round

Tips

  1. Watch the pointer, not the mark. It moves at a constant speed, so start your tap a fraction before it arrives.
  2. After every hit the pointer turns around. Look for the new mark in the opposite direction straight away.
  3. The ticks rise in pitch as the pointer closes in on the mark. Use your ears once the dial gets fast.
